Objects May Vary is an annual exhibition platform dedicated to experimental design. Each year, we invite emerging and independent designers to respond to a single object typology, such as a chair, a lamp, or a table, as a starting point for creative exploration.

The exhibition is conceived to foster an environment where exploration is encouraged, and where each participant can engage freely with the annual typology. Designers are encouraged to experiment with materials, challenge conventions, and use the opportunity to explore unfamiliar territory.

Objects May Vary is founded on the belief that typologies (those recurring forms and functions within design) are not restrictive conventions but generative frameworks. The chair, the lemon squeezer, and the kettle are familiar objects that serve not as endpoints, but as points of departure. When liberated from the constraints of commercial expectations, client briefs, and normative feedback structures, such typologies become fertile ground for critical discussion and exploration.
